ABOUT DOOR COUNTY EMERGENCY SUPPORT COALITION
The Door County Fire Chiefs Association has joined forces with other local entities to create a resource to provide information and assistance to the residents and guests of Door County through the duration of the hardships surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak.
That coalition’s assistance includes delivering and shopping for food and supplies, helping to perform welfare checks for family or neighbors, and connecting people with child-care support. The coalition is also seeking volunteers with health-care backgrounds to potentially assist with interpreting coronavirus guidelines
VOLUNTEER WITH US
Volunteers are needed for, but not limited to, collecting and delivering food, medication and other essential items to high-risk or quarantined individuals; managing logistics and supplies; answering phones and calling residents; and filling various volunteer shifts throughout the day. Volunteers will not be exposed to high-risk or quarantined individuals because there will be no physical contact while performing their duties.
